First off let me say that if you find yourself in a situation like ours, there is no right or wrong decision. In this blog I am only expressing what we feel and our thoughts about our own situation and what we are able to manage. There are many many things to consider before making any of these big decisions including the financial burden you will face - and it will be substantial.
We are just regular people, with regular 9 to 5 jobs. Stella's surgeries were very expensive and the radiation treatments will be even more so. This will not cause us to lose our home or anything drastic like that but we are facing a huge lifestyle change for a while. To us, there is no question what needs to be done. We will work it out; we have to.
What a very constructive way to handle a very difficult situation -- I'm sure this blog will be a big help, both to you as you make this journey and to others who might be facing something similar.
